Are you a Robotics Software Engineer with a passion for driving innovation in industrial automation? Working on next-generation robotic systems, you’ll play a critical role in developing motion control, trajectory planning, and sensor integration for industrial robotic arms, particularly Kuka and Fanuc 7-axis systems.

The Role

As a Robotics Software Engineer, you’ll develop and optimize real-time robotics software, working on controls, motion planning, trajectory management, and sensor integration. You’ll be part of a dynamic team that is pushing the boundaries of automation and creating modular, software-defined manufacturing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Robotics Software Development – Design and implement software for trajectory planning, motion control, and real-time robotics applications.
🔹 Industrial Robotics Integration – Work with Kuka and Fanuc 7-axis systems to build scalable, high-performance robotic solutions.
🔹 Sensor & Metrology Systems – Develop and integrate LIDAR, ATI, Keyence, and other advanced measurement systems into robotic platforms.
🔹 Machine Learning Applications – Apply ML techniques to improve robotic automation processes.
🔹 Control & Kinematics – Implement and refine robot kinematics, dynamics, and real-time control algorithms.
🔹 Full Development Lifecycle – Take ownership of the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of robotics software.

What You’ll Need

✔ 2+ years of experience in software engineering for industrial robotics (manufacturing environments, not academic).
✔ Strong C++ & Python skills – Hands-on experience in developing production-ready robotics software.
✔ Expertise in ROS (Robot Operating System) – Experience with ROS2 implementation is a plus.
✔ Deep understanding of robot kinematics & dynamics – Ability to implement novel solutions beyond off-the-shelf algorithms.
✔ Metrology & Measurement Systems – Experience integrating sensor systems for precise robotic positioning.
✔ Startup Experience – Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, agile environment.
✔ Technical Communication – Strong ability to collaborate across software, hardware, and mechanical teams.

Nice to Have (But Not Essential)

✅ Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or related fields.
✅ Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems for managing development workflows.
✅ Previous work with DOD or defense-related projects (ITAR-compliant).

Additional Details

📍 Location: On-site in Chatsworth, CA (San Fernando Valley) – 5 days per week.
🛫 Travel: Occasional travel to customer sites, including DOD facilities.
